Ultimately the price we provide in our arc flash evaluation proposals is based on how much time we estimate the project will take our team to complete.
The best way for us to estimate is by looking at your electrical one line drawings if they exist. This will give us a very good idea of how much equipment you have and how much time it will take us to perform an evaluation. If one lines don't exist then we'd love to see whatever other documentation you might have, riser drawings, elevation drawings, layout drawings, etc.
We can also estimate our time based on your electrical density. A distribution center (DC), retail location, educational facility, airport, or an event center may have much less electrical density than a production facility. A location with less electrical density will have lower cost than a location with high electrical density. One example of an equation for electrical density is kVA/sqft: The total kVA capacity of your main transformer(s) divided by your facility's total square footage. Another way for us to estimate electrical density is by knowing how many main switchgear you have or total quantity of electrical panels. Completing our facility information request form will answer many of the questions we might have during the pricing process, that can be found here:
Your needs and the scope of work are also obviously very important. We can provide different levels of service depending on what you want or need.
Our team considers all of the above when pricing your project. If you have questions or want to discuss pricing of your project you can easily reach us on our website:
